Terms and Conditions

CONDITIONS OF RENT:

• All rentals are subject to the terms and conditions included in the rental agreement and are subject to availability.

RENTAL DAY:

• A rental day is calculated on a 24 hour basis. This means that if a one-day rental starts at 10:00 AM the bike has to be returned no later than the same time the following day.

AGE:

• The age of the rider must be 25 or above.

BOOKING:

• Only a booking which has been confirmed and given a booking number is the guarantee that the desired bike will be available on the chosen date.
• A 10% booking deposit, not less than $ 200.00 rounded up to full $ 10.00 - is required to make a valid booking.
• Each bike is a separate agreement.

CANCELLATION:

• The deposit is non refundable although it may be credited to another rental if the cancellation is done more than 14 days before the pick up date.

RIDERS LICENCE:

• The motorcycle rider(s) must hold an unrestricted Australian Motorcycle licence or current foreign and international licence for the class of bike they wish to hire.

RIDING EXPERIENCE:

• The rider must have at least one year riding experience with this size of bike or similar.

SECURITY BOND:

• $ 2,500 - security bond must be paid. We accept cash, Visa, MasterCard

INSURANCE:

• All prices are including third party property insurance.
• The insurance excess is double the bond (= 2 x $ 2,500 = $ 5,000).
• By paying a daily surcharge of $ 25, the excess can be reduced to just the bond.
• The rental bikes are not covered by theft or fire insurance.
• Where a motorcycle has been crashed and is not able to be ridden any further, Rent Ride is under no obligation to replace or supply another motorcycle for the completion of the journey and no compensation can be claimed by the hirer for the unused portion of the hire period. The hirer agrees to reimburse Rent Ride for all motorcycle retrieval and salvage costs over and above the hirer's maximum damage liability.
• In the case of an accident involving another vehicle, the hirer is required to pay the insurance excess regardless of who was responsible for the accident. We will reimburse the excess if and/or when we make recovery from another party.
  

ID / PASSPORT:

• Two forms of identification are required including one photo ID. Foreign citizens must produce their passport.

ROAD LIMITATIONS:

• Road type motorcycles are allowed on sealed roads only. Dual purpose / enduro bikes are allowed on gravel roads, tracks and beaches. A surcharge of 10% of the basic rental price applies. Riding in salty water is strictly prohibited! For road types see website.
  

CONDITION OF THE BIKE:

• Motorcycles are rented out clean and with a full tank of petrol. They must be returned with a full tank of petrol – otherwise a service fee of $ 30.- will be charged.

BUSINESS HOURS:

• Our normal hours of operation are (Perth Office):
• Monday to Friday 8:30am to 5:00pm
• Saturday on special arrangement, between 8:30am to 4:00pm
  Outside these hours are by special arrangement only and a surcharge of $ 50.00 will apply.
• Drop off at other location:
  Monday to Friday 9:00am to 4:00pm only!

LATE RETURN:

• A late return will incur a charge of $20.- per hour for every complete hour following the designated return time. After the third hour a full daily rate will be applicable.

ONE WAY RENTALS:

• We offer one way rental options to the following cities: Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide, Brisbane, Cairns, Alice Springs and Darwin.
• All rentals must start from Perth.
• One-Way rentals are only available for periods of 7 days or longer and the relocation fees may apply

TICKETS, FINES & OTHER PENALTIES:

• The renter is responsible for all fines and tolls during the rental period. We reserve the right to charge an additional handling fee of $ 30.00- for all speeding and parking tickets, fines, penalties and unpaid road tolls.

FREE AIRPORT PICK UP:

• All rentals longer than 7 days get a free airport pick up. Simply take a taxi from Perth Airport and ask to drive you to our depot. We will pay the cost for you – no calls, no arrangements, no cash necessary. As simple as that!

REFUND - CREDIT:

• We provide a credit if a motorcycle is returned early however only under following conditions:
• The credit is kept for any future reservation/rental. WE DO NOT RETURN ANY MONIES
• The credit cannot be used for any form of cash adjustment. For example if a motorcycle has to be transported back to the depot as a result of accident damage, rider incapacity or for any other reason other than unrelated mechanical failure, the transportation costs are to be covered by the hirer and may be additional to the amount of the security bond held.

IN THE EVENT OF AN ACCIDENT:

• You are legally bound to provide your name and contact address, your drivers licence number, the registration no. of your hire motorcycle
• You must obtain the other party's name, address, contact phone number, vehicle registration number as well as the make and model of the other vehicle.
• If you are able, you should take some photos of the damage to the other vehicle regardless of how minor the damage may have been, before it departs the scene. You should also take some photos of the road layout in relation to the point of impact.
• You should never admit fault to the other party regardless of the cause of the incident.
